Does the breast pump and bottles have to be the same brand?
I'm just curious when my baby is born in Feb, my doctor is going to prescribe me a double pump, electric breastpump. I believe it's a medella brand. Should I go ahead and buy extra bottles/storage bottles before the baby is born? If I buy Medella bottles but they end up giving me a different brand pump would that matter?
You can,but I wouldn't go overboard.
Nursing your baby directly is the best way to up supply and keeps it up while nursing.Only a baby is truly effective at getting all the milk out.
Medella is a great brand and will fit with most bottles.I got gerber ones(cheap) and just used to store milk in on occasion.Most pumps out there are universal.You can always get more later is you need them.Keep receipts in case you need to return.
