When should I switch my son from Enfamil Lipil to Next Step Lipil?
My son is approaching 9 months old with in the next week. It says on the Next Step Can that it is for 9-24 months. I am a nurse (RN) and I have always been taught that formula for the first year should be their primary intake of nutrients. I quit breastfeeding at 3 months. We have been on level one (1) foods since 6 months old. But my question is when should I move to the Next Step? What are the pros and cons of both? Should I even change? The price is not much difference anyway...but any knowledge or advice is greatly appreciated!! THANKS!
Switch when the baby turns one year old; that is what the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends. Then it is up to you to use the Next Step for as long as you feel it will be appropriate for your baby.
