My son is on Enfamil Prosobee and really constipated...PLEASE ANSWER?
My son is 3 weeks old and has been on Enfamil Prosobee Ready to use. He has been really constipated and gassy. His stomach gets so hard. I talked to the dr and she said to use clear karo syrup so i did. It helped a little. So, i told the dr that and she said try Similac Isomil for gas & constipation. The 1st night we tried it he didnt want it at all. He refused to drink it. He would hold it in his mouth and spit it out. So, my fiance gace him the prosobee. He is constipated still so last night i tried the Similac again and he drank it and this morning he drank it again. My question is,...Should I finish the bottle of Similac I got him and see if it helps or should i just keep him on the Prosobee and just add the karo syrup to 1 bottle....I am not sure. He goes to dr mon for his 1 month check up & shots so i just want to wait till then to take him in but what formula should i give him till then??
I prefer Enfamil. It seemed to be better for my son's tummy but all babies are different. You just have to see his reaction to each and decide based on that.
